Being the UI/UX Design Lead and the only designer in the company, my responsibility was to deliver all design aspects of the redesign project, from research to implementation. I collaborated closely with the development team and stakeholders to ensure that our designs not only met business goals but also provided a seamless and captivating user experience.

The objective of this project involve creating a step-by-step onboarding experience that will guide new users through the platform's services, features and functionalities.

Problem Statement

Upon onboarding the KeyNinja platform, new users may find it unclear which action to take next. The absence of a guided onboarding experience can cause confusion and frustration among users, leading to a high bounce rate and low user engagement.

Opportunity

The implementation of a guided onboarding experience for new users will provide a seamless user experience and increase the user retention rate. The guided onboarding experience will be designed to assist users in comprehending the features and benefits of KeyNinja.io, making it easier for them to set up their account.

Design Process

Thorough research was conducted to determine the best practices and industry standards before initiating the project. During the ideation phase, we took the time to analyze how other platforms were conducting their new user guided onboarding experience and used it as a reference for our process. In order to gain a better understanding of our users, we conducted qualitative research to identify their needs and pain points. We utilized feedbacks that we received from our team client success department to support us with valuable insights.




After conducting our competitor analysis, we initiated the design process by creating a user flow. Thereafter, we underwent various design iterations, commencing with low-fidelity wireframes and progressively enhancing the design until we achieved high-fidelity mockups.
